We have faithfully served in global trauma recovery for decades, and we are dedicated to improving the lives of others through our work. In the past two years, CCI has served communities in Ukraine, Turkey, Libya, Morocco and the US who are facing crisis and disaster. We dream of a world where hurting people are met with compassionate, skilled help and where healing resonates for generations.

    Stacey Sutherland

    Executive Director
    Clinical Consultant & Facilitator

    As Founder and Director of CCI, Stacey brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit and humanitarian aid communities to her work in trauma recovery and disaster response. She is an associate Licensed Professional Counselor and a certified Crisis Intervention Specialist. She has worked in over 35 countries around the world to bring trauma-sensitive care and equipping in times of crisis.

    Philip Monroe

    Clinical Consultant & Facilitator
    Board Vice Chair

    Dr. Philip Monroe is a psychologist and owner of Langberg, Monroe & Associates, a clinical practice specialising in trauma recovery located in the greater Philadelphia area. He spent 17 years leading Missio Seminary’s Graduate School of Counseling where he created the MA in Counseling program and the Global Trauma Recovery Institute.

    Gueneba Bakiono

    Clinical Consultant & Facilitator

    Gueneba graduated from Daystar University (Kenya) with a MA in Counselling Psychology. She served with Trauma Healing Institute as a Regional Coordinator and Trainer for West and Central Africa for 9 years. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Daystar University in Kenya. She lives in Burkina Faso and is the Founder and Executive Director of Wings of Eagles Holistic Counselling and of the nonprofit organization ASAA SH BF involved in holistic care.

    Emily Jones

    Clinical Consultant & Facilitator

    Emily is a licensed social worker with a passion for trauma work, trained in TF CBT, Trauma Healing, and CISM. She has years of clinical trauma therapy experience and also enjoys educating on trauma, specifically in the areas of refugee populations, anti-trafficking, abuse prevention, and international mental health world.

    Misty Bodkins

    Consultant & Facilitator
    Board Member

    Misty Bodkins has a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Ball State University. She is certified as a Master Facilitator in Healing the Wounds of Trauma through the Trauma Healing Institute, is trained in crisis debriefing, and has been serving cross-culturally for 16 years. Misty lives in the US and continues to work with partner organizations in trauma recovery around the globe.

    Carol King

    Clinical Consultant & Facilitator

    Carol is a licensed professional counselor with expertise in working with complex trauma, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety issues. She has also travelled to various countries in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, providing training in trauma informed care. Her work in these areas has enabled her to increase her understanding and interest in providing care in cross-cultural settings.

    Steve Moses

    Consultant & Facilitator

    Steve Moses has worked with and lived among Muslims primarily from Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia for 27 years. Over the past 15 years, his attention has been among refugees and immigrants including acting as founding Director of a refugee resettlement agency in the US. As a Master Facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute and co-creator of contextualized resources for Muslims, his focus is equipping and mentoring individuals and organizations in crisis and trauma recovery in the Arab world.

    Fatima Santana

    Clinical Consultant & Facilitator

    Fatima is a native New Yorker and the daughter of immigrant parents. Her passion for helping others grew from her own lived experiences and the meaningful guidance she received from mentors throughout her life. She went on to earn a B.S. in Psychology from Fordham University and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work, which launched her career as a licensed clinical social worker. Over the past 15 years, she has worked in diverse settings, including psychiatric hospitals, public schools, corporate consulting and private practice to support individuals across all stages of life.

    Sharon Lee

    Board Treasurer

    Sharon Lee, CPA, serves as Treasurer and brings over 30 years of senior financial leadership experience across nonprofit, healthcare, and complex multi-entity organizations. As Principal and CEO of Magnolia Tax & Accounting LLC, she provides fractional controller and advisory services to nonprofit organizations, overseeing full-cycle accounting, payroll, grant management, board reporting, and year-end compliance including IRS Form 990 preparation. She is known for building strong financial systems, clear board-level reporting, and internal controls that promote transparency, accountability, and sustainability. Previously, she served as Comptroller for a $3 million church organization and held senior financial leadership roles in large, highly regulated healthcare and retirement community systems. A Certified Public Accountant, Sharon is committed to responsible stewardship and ensuring financial resources are aligned with the organization’s mission and long-term impact.

    Stephanie Sutherland

    Media & Material Development Specialist

    Stephanie has a BA in International Asian Studies. She is a renaissance woman and jack-of-all-trades, skilfully managing a full time job, and spinning the behind-the-scene plates of a growing non-profit! Stephanie loves reading a good book and a long walk with her Golden-Doodle, Yibo.

    Christabel Khiangte Corazza

    Board Chair

    Christabel, a relations and connections expert from India, builds bridges across cultural divides through her extensive experience in multi-ethnic work. She volunteers as a cultural consultant with CCI while also working full-time as the Relationship Development Director for an international organization near Charlotte, NC.

    Jennifer Settin

    Board Member

    Jennifer has a Masters in business administration and has worked for years in building out programs and projects within corporate America.  She provides expertise in relationship building, process management and mentor/mentee coaching.  Additionally, she works within multiple arenas from marriage shepherding to hospice care to provide empathetic listening for those in need.

    Frances Queen

    In memory of our Board Chair Emeritus

    Frances Queen was the founder of Queen-Connect, a consulting company connecting Charlotte individuals to impactful nonprofits. After overcoming numerous life challenges, she leveraged her talent in math and passion for female entrepreneurship to build a 30-year IT career. In 2023 Frances championed a vision for Crisis Care International and became our first Board Chair. She passed away in January 2025.
